GCE A-Level Qualifications

GCE (General Certificate of Education) qualifications are also known as A levels, which stands for Advanced level.

  • A full GCE (A level) is usually taken over two years but may be completed within one year. (Suitable for local DSE F.5~F.6 or HKAL graduates )
  • GCEs are at Level 3 in the British National Qualifications Framework, and carry UCAS points. They are the main entry requirements for progression to higher education (3 or 4 year Universities worldwide) and jobs entrancement requirements .
  • The minimum number of units for graduation for students admitted with Advanced Standing may be reduced by up to 24 (normative period of study may be reduced by up to one year). (From CUHK website)
